Took the back route to Vancouver from Harrison and came across the sign for Kilby historic site…. pulled in out… read moreTook the back route to Vancouver from Harrison and came across the sign for Kilby historic site…. pulled in out of curiosity and what a smashing little find it was ! The folk were so friendly and lovely …they told us about what the site was for and we paid to go and tour round….there was a great deal to do outside even In the rain, feeding the animals, petting the rabbits, dressing up , traditional games, and that’s before you hit the general store l which is phenomenal, totally as it was, with all of the original wares… as a Brit, I was blown away at the detail of what the family had kept…. the strangest thing was, that we had come to visit this totally by chance, and Eliza Kilby settled In Canada from the same town we are from , Manchester, ….the cafe food Rounded off the visit and oh my goodness it was super fresh and super tasty …ice cream was also flipping smashing,,,,, totally worth the visit!!! read less
